Patience? What’s that?

I have decided that I have been given three little boys so that I can learn how to be REALLY patient.  This morning I gave the boys their breakfast and went downstairs.  Trey decided he wanted to see what would happen if he dropped his cereal bowl over the ledge and down the stairs… (see picture).  What was he thinking?  I don’t know…    You know that really quiet moment in sacrament meeting after a hymn has just been sung and everyone is waiting for the prayer or the speaker to begin?  Well, Trey has started to fill that void for everyone by saying not very quietly, “Are we done?”  It’s cute the first time and then begins to become very embarrassing!  Anyway…

The leaves have started changing here, and it is so beautiful.  I love walking outside in the middle of the day and taking a deep breathe.  It just smells like fall!  It is great!!!  Friday night we attended a halloween party thrown by someone in our ward.  I feel bad that Russell is wearing the same costume he wore last year, but it is truly what he wanted to wear!  Thus, we all wore our costumes from last year since we were a pirate family.  It’s okay, because we won the prize for the best family costume. 🙂 (Everyone won a prize…)  Saturday night we went to our Ward’s chili cook-off/trick or treat party.  It was fun, but nothing like our ward in UT.  I think we were one of two adult couples who dressed up!  Oh, well.  We had fun.  We’ll be going to a couple more parties this week.  You can never have too much candy…that’s what I say!

Can I just say… I LOVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL SEASON!!!  There is nothing I would rather do on a Saturday night during the fall than sit on my couch and watch a good game.  This Saturday night it was great to get the kids in bed and sit together with Russell and watch the OSU game.  Heaven!

More later!!

    Hey Jacks,
Just wanted to tell you that I’m really missing your cute little family. And I TOTALLY agree with you on the football thing, I can’t get enough! I’m sure that town is beautiful when the leaves are changing, take some pictures! Love you,
    Gin

    Jackie,
Kids do teach us how much more patient we need to become. I’m definitely not there yet and I only have a girl and a boy. Thanks for your blog. It’s good to hear what’s going on in your family’s lives.

    Love, Meridith
