I’m lovin’ it!

Did anyone else enjoy this great weekend of football?  Among a lot of other great things about the holiday, there were some great games!!  We had a great holiday.  First and foremost, it was so great to have Russell here for so long!  We got used to it, so today has been especially hard!  (It’s only 10:30…)  We spent the holiday redoing our bathroom.  So we were doing a lot of wallpaper stripping, painting and tiling.  Okay, when I say we, I mostly mean Russell.  Although I did help take off the wallpaper.  I guess I’m the kind of person who likes to have the house redone or updated, but not the one that likes actually doing it… Somehow I usually get dragged into doing it anyway!  We love the bathroom now that it’s done, though.  There was this really ugly flowery wallpaper up before, so really, anything would have been an improvement.  Our next project is painting the kitchen.  It is currently a bright yellow (and I really mean BRIGHT) and blue.  So again, anything would be an improvement.  That will probably happen the weekend after this next one.  Russell is in the homestretch of this quarter and has finals beginning on Saturday.

This year for Thanksgiving, we spent the day with just our little family.  It was really nice… quiet and comfortable.  (Although we really missed our families.)  I had a great day since the meal I cooked turned out perfect.  It is REALLY hard to cook six things with only one oven and have them all finished and still warm when it is time to eat, but we managed!  Someday I will have two ovens!

Saturday was our six year anniversary.  It was nice to spend the day together.   We put up Christmas decorations and Russell spent a lot of time making our yard the best one on the block (since previously it was the worst one since we have a giant tree in the front that dumped all it’s leaves on the lawn).  To make things even better, BYU beat Utah.  Yea!!!  No, in all seriousness, I really do have the best husband.  There isn’t anything more I could want.  Our marriage is fantastic, and if I had looked forward six years on our wedding day, this is where I would want to be.

I just want to mention before I finish, that kids are so fun!  The song of the day (for the last week) has been the ABC song as I hear it on repeat from Trey throughout the whole day.  It is so cute because on the L-M-N-O-P he doesn’t quite know what he’s saying.  So for the L-M-N-O part, he sticks his tongue out and waggles it and then finishes with P.  It’s hard to describe in words, but it is so hilarious!  Also, Keyan is at the really-cute-baby stage.  I guess all stages could be considered the really-cute stage.  But it is so fun to watch him as he observes everything going on around him.  He gets this wide-eyed, raised eyebrow, open mouth look as his head bobbles around.  It is adorable.  He loves watching the other two boys’ craziness.  It’s so fun!
