I used to love it…

…But now I hate it.  Grocery shopping USED to be my favorite errand to do.  But now slowly throughout the last five years, it has become my most dreaded.  I used to like leisurely walking down every aisle, but now I find myself racing around like a madwoman before someone has a meltdown (including me).  The checkout is the worst, especially if there is a line, and even more especially if Keyan starts crying while they are trying to bag my things.  When I am done, I am usually trying not to cry.   AAAHHHHH!

P.S. Sorry for the unloading, I promise the next post will be more positive!! 🙂

Oh no! My absoloute favorite activity is the grocery store…I think I might be able to pawn off children on Steven for that because he already hates it…
I’m going to choose to believe that this won’t happen to me!

Hahaha, if Russell is around, I take off. It’s nice to have me time, and it’s sad that that’s where I choose to take it… 🙂

girls, girls, it gets better, trust me. this made me laugh out loud! i do bribe, however. the bakery gives away free cookies, and so I don’t always get those first. they sometimes have to prove that they deserve it by their good behavior throughout the shopping experience.

Oh, and jackie, I have all the family blogs in my favorites, so that Line can just click on it and it will open for her. You can post something for her anytime, she’d love it. And she reads yours almost every day, it’s just that yesterday I showed her for the first time where all the comments are and how to leave her own comment. She just types one fingered, so they’re not long messages, but she loves checking your blogs and the family website, too. so cute.

Jackie – last summer I had finally made it to the end of my Costco and Walmart trips and was standing in the line at walmart to discover that Gray had diarrhea. I has holding him . . . It was disgusting. I have started bribing my kids that if they are good through the whole trip they can pick a small toy like a matchbox car. I’ll try anything. I hate going too . . .

    Jackie,

I can still remember our Saturday morning excursions to the grocery stores. We usually went to The Cannery Store first and then on into State College to get what we couldn’t get in Old Fort. It was quite an expedition if I remember it right. I don’t remember how many of you guys went with me, but it was quite a few. I actually have some pretty good memories of those times, so must have forgotten about the ones that were not so great. Of course, you guys were always very good for me, so maybe that is why my memories are so positive. I remember it being fun to get as many of the things that I could that you guys liked, especially since I think I did most of the cooking.

    Dad
