We LOVE Spring!!

The weather here has been more than beautiful the past couple of weeks.  It is so wonderful to have all the windows open with the breeze blowing through the house.  It’s great to play outside for hours!  We love going to the zoo, the park, the library, or our own backyard.  Today we broke out our sidewalk chalk and sprinkler.  Besides Keyan trying to eat all of the chalk, it was FANTASTIC.  Here are a couple of snapshots to document the day.

On a side note, I have discovered a talent of my husband’s that I didn’t know existed.  It turns out that he is a master storyteller.  He has started telling the boys stories from The Adventures of Russell and Trey at bedtime.  They, of course, LOVE it and beg for one every night.  Fortunately he records them on his MP3 player as he tells them and then puts them on CDs for them to listen to at bedtime when he isn’t here.  Seriously, I don’t know where he comes up with the ideas for his stories!  He’s told them one about a huge flood when Russell and Trey had to swim to the bottom and pull the plug, one about them rescuing two princesses from a tall tower and battling a huge dragon, ones about them having to go to outer space, and so many others.  They always have special gear to help them in their endeavors, such as invisibility cloaks, moon boots that allow them to walk on air, grapple hooks, and many others.  It is quite entertaining!!   It’s also very sweet to watch little Russell as he listens.  He really loves visualizing himself doing all of these cool things!

I’m thankful you’re my cousins. And I know you’re running through the sprinklers. Is it cold? And I hope you have a good time at your new house. Did your clothes get wet? I know that it is fun. So much! I wish I could be in that house. Your thing that you drew with your chalk is beautiful. Did you put your toy car on your toy road? How are you doing riding your two-wheel bike? I love how you learned so much things. And I love when you
