Reflections

I came aross this on my sister’s blog.  This is an amazing slideshow and is a beautiful experience. Please take the time to do this… you will reflect and I hope that you, like I did, will feel of the Spirit that testifies of truth.  I love my sister’s thoughts, and I hope it’s okay with you, Candy, that I’m sharing your feelings on this.

“…the image that I keep thinking of is the joyful and loving embrace.  I love that it portrays this moment in our religious history as one of overwhelming joy.  That these two men, knew what this momentous occasion meant for all of us. And although it was the beginning of a path that would travel through indescribable grief and pain, His supernal journey will ultimately lead us all back to our Father in Heaven.  I like to think that He was smiling for us. He loved His eternal family enough that He rejoiced when He come out of the waters of baptism and started us all on our way back to Him. I feel like we were all there, rejoicing right along with Him. Embracing each other and grinning.”

I love this. And I love love love Come thy Fount of Every Blessing. It is one of my faves. I wish we sang it in church still.

I have finally seen my absolute on-point accurate depiction of the baptism of Christ…I was smiling so hard my cheeks hurt at my own so how absolutely correct that joy would define their embrace…cousins and brothers! Thank you…Love, mom

Very cool. Does it say who sang the song?
