Time for girl stuff!

I was thinking about the girl stuff I’m going to need to get, and it occurred to me to just ask you all.  What is the one thing (or two things) you cannot do without as a mom of a girl?  What are my must-haves?

Hair bows! They are way easy to make. Let me know if you want a great website that shows you how to make them.

Pretty much all of the same stuff you would use for boys, but just in pink! I agree with the head bands. It tops off every outfit! and I find that I have to have more sunday clothes for girls because you can’t double things from the weekdays like you can with boys. You know, like plaid shirts, khaki’s, etc. I am so excited, I can hardly stand it!!!

I’m terrible about putting bows on Alora’s head. I am great with hats, though. She has one really adorable hat that my mom got for her that goes with so many outfits. Also, something you can give to her when she’s a teenager. My mom gave me her diary when I was 16 (I wouldn’t recommend this to everyone). I’ve sort of put a spin on it and bought a diary that I write letters to Alora in. I’m planning on giving it to her either when she’s 15 or she hits the crazy teen years and she needs to see that I love her no matter what. 🙂

I’m so excited that you are having a little girl! My favorite girly thing was actually a little blue linen dress with flower trim. So cute, and even though it is blue, it is very girly! And tights with the ruffles on the bum!

Although this is late – I loved having a favorite (for both of us) soft and feminine blanket. . .

Ruffly unders…white tights…Baby Jane patent leather shoes…and lots and lots of time for hair brushing…mom for daughter, daughter for mom. Love, mom/gma

Congrats on expecting a girl! We are soooo excited for you two! We are actually expecting number 3 in March…I’m about 20 weeks along so not too far behind ya! We find out what we are having this Wednesday! How have you been feeling? I hope all is well, drop an email anytime! Ditto for all the hair bow ideas…I use to just tie a little tiny bow and put a dab of corn syrup on Gracie’s head! A super soft pink blanket is vital too! I’m sure you’ll get a lot of those! Miss you guys!

Make sure Russell is pretty involved with new baby girl Legg. I know he will be, but Dad’s contribution for girls is probably more important than it is for boys. Dad
